The practice is a long established Shipley practice with a history that can be traced back into the middle of the last century. The practice is part of the North Bradford Primary Care Trust, which has 13 practices in the group serving a population of 92,000.
It is our intention to offer a first class quality primary care service to all our patients. In order to achieve this, the practice has tried to keep abreast of current developments and there are a large variety of services available to our patients. We have a mixed patient population but a higher than average of those in social classes 1 and 2 and those aged >75.
We are a hard working, busy, cutting edge suburban non-dispensing practice. We have 3 fulltime doctors, one that is 2/3 time, another 1/2 time and a salaried doctor too. Each doctor has there own special interest (currently : cardiology, VTS training, dermatology, diabetes, urology, gynae, geriatrics) and one is the chief executive of our local PCT. Our team of doctors are motivated and committed to high quality care, providing excellent local services to our population.
We also have two nurse practitioners - these are nurses trained to an advanced level who are able to see and treat patients with a wide variety of conditions and can refer to hospital where appropriate.
In March 2001 the practice was awarded Investors in People status. Our team is keen to be involved in implementing change and this is exemplified by our involvement in almost all innovations from the outset.
We hope you enjoy your time with us.
