Your TPD Advisor

Dear trainees

Keen to support you as effectively as possible, we have allocated each of you a personal TPD advisor to be your first point of contact for most issues and concerns about your training. This can range from issues relating to rotations, maternity leave, sick leave, compassionate leave, study leave, problems in GP posts (that you haven't been able to resolve with your trainer) and other more general advice.

Also, each of us TPDs has responsibility for liaison with one or more of the hospital specialties.

Click the document in the 'downloads' box for more detailed information on both of these things.

Whom to contact about what

  • Administrators – attendance at HDR, attendance at courses, claiming costs for study leave once it has been approved by your clinical supervisor/trainer
  • Clinical supervisor/GP trainer – specific educational and clinical issues relating to the post you’re in, approval of study leave
  • Rota coordinator/practice manager – sickness absence (see website for more info about this), booking leave including study leave approved by your clinical supervisor/trainer or recommended by the training scheme
