  • HVs are experienced registered nurses with extra training and knowledge in community health ( = child health, health promotion, health education & nurse prescribing).
  • The main focus of our work is prevention: helping people to stay healthy and avoid illness.  We work in partnership with families to tailor health plans to their need.  We also organise and run baby clinics.

 

  • Every family with children under five has a named health visitor.

●behaviour difficulties, temper tantrums, sleeping, eating, potty training and teething

●baby massage (can help with constipation, wind, colic and sleep problems - think about this as first line before medication)
