●no significant obesity ie BMI<35

●no severe disability

●no h/o prev adverse reaction to anaesthesia

●no h/o multiple allergies

●no prev major laporatomy / abdo surgery

●no h/o DVT or PE

●no ASA categories 3 and 4

●home/social support MUST be available

●Use ISTC specific referral form for all potential day case surgery
