Which Assessment at Which Stage?

This page outlines the MINIMUM WPBA type assessments (like CBDs, COTs and CEXs) for each ST post.  You should aim to do significantly more than the minimum number!  And they all need to be done in a timely way (i.e. spread out and not all last minute) before the ARCP panels in June.

Trainees doing 6 month rotations

ST1

every 6 month post...

  • CBD x 3
  • Mini-CEX x 3
  • MSF x 1

Additional Notes

If any 6m post is in GP, then
     –     replace Mini-CEXs with COTs
     –     add 1 x PSQ
     –     get QIA project done at this stage

ST2

every 6 month post...

  • CBD x 3
  • Mini-CEX x 3

Additional Notes

If any 6m post is in GP, then
     –     replace Mini-CEXs with COTs
     –     add 1 x PSQ
     –     get QIA project done (if not done in ST1)

ST3

every 6 month post...

  • CBD x 6
  • COT x 6
  • MSF x 1

Additional Notes

PLUS…
     –     1 x PSQ at some stage in ST3.
     –     at least one Audio-COT 
     –     1 x Prescribing Assessment (pref post 2)

AIM TO…
   –     try AKT in ST3 post 1
   –     try CSA in ST3 post 2

ST1

every 4 month post...

  • CBD x 2
  • Mini-CEX x 2

Additional Notes

     –     x 2 MSFs in the whole ST1 year
If any 6m post is in GP, then
     –     replace Mini-CEXs with COTs
     –     add 1 x PSQ
     –     get QIA project done at this stage

ST2

every 4 month post...

  • CBD x 2
  • Mini-CEX x 2

Additional Notes

If any 6m post is in GP, then
     –     replace Mini-CEXs with COTs
     –     add 1 x PSQ
     –     get QIA project done (if not done in ST1)

ST3

every 4 month post...

  • CBD x 4
  • COT x 4

Additional Notes

PLUS…
     –     1 x PSQ at some stage in ST3.
     –     2 x MSFs in the whole of the ST3 year
     –     at least one Audio-COT 
     –     1 x Prescribing Assessment (pref in post 2 or 3)
     –     if any post is in hospital, replace COT with mini-CEX

AIM TO…
   –     try AKT in ST3 post 1 or 2
   –     try CSA in ST3 post 2 or 3
